  hey im trying to find a filter that will bring in steady profit, about 3-4% a week through 1 or 2 trades or avg of 15% a month with 3-5 trades a month.
 Anyone have a filter that can achieve this kind of return? please post here with filter or your email. Thanks in advance.

  Sekto -

 Are you being serious? LOL...It's like THERUMPLEDONE says..."it's how you trade it, not what you trade." It took me awhile to really believe that myself. Hey man, I suggest you just read EVERYTHING here. Read, read, read...There are no magic filters that do what you are asking. Best of luck.

 RIGGS.

  i understand its how you trade but its a bitch filtering through all the stocks that come up with a bullish trend. Theres too many damn indicators that contradict eachother when it comes to confirming a trend that it makes it near impossible for me to be able to tell one way or another. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

  Hi
 Nobody ever said this was a piece of cake. Like everything, it takes work, perseverance and practice.
 Enjoy it... it's an interesting challenge

  Fun With Compounding !!!

 ...let's see what a 4% Weekly Return...Compounded Weekly...for a Period of 1 Year would become (ie. Future Value FV) !

 Let's assume...

 Starting Principle (ie. P) of a mere...$10,000 !

 A 4% Weekly Return (ie. r)...4% = .04 !

 And a Period (ie. n) of 1 Year or...250 days per year/5days per week =  50 Weeks !

 -------------------

 The Compound Interest Formula becomes :

 FV = P(1 + r)^n

 so...

 FV = $10K(1 + .04)^50

 FV = $71,066.83

 Not bad...not bad at all !!!

 But...what if you take that same $10,000...Compounded Weekly @ 4% for...TWO YEARS !!!

 FV = $10K(1 + .04)^100

 FV = $505,049.46

 YIKES !!!

 -------------------

 I'll be eagerly reading this thread in hopes that one among us will post a filter that will consistently return 4% Weekly !

  ...in THREE YEARS $10,000 becomes :

 FV = $10K(1 + .04)^150

 FV = $3,589,226.74

  ...in FOUR YEARS $10,000 becomes :

 FV = $10K(1 + .04)^200

 FV = $25,507,497.91

  And...in FIVE YEARS $10,000 becomes :

 FV = $10K(1 + .04)^250

 FV = $181,273,710.60

 -------------------

 Is it any "wonder" why Albert Einstein called Compound Interest the...

 8th Wonder of the World !
