Thanks Cheese. I like using the blue bars. Much easier visual for looking at multiple charts.

This is how I use it when day trading SPY. I use the cross of the 20 line or 80 line depending on calls or puts. I bought this morning, but not this afternoon - I don't like holding SPY overnight.

Thanks for the day trading pic, snappy. The shape of your Stoch chart follows prices so closely.

Here is a follow up of how I use this filter. This afternoon I bought puts on USO. The Stochastic(40,40,4) gave me a buy on the fast (blue) line crossing the slow (red) line. I also use Heikin Ashi candles as a secondary confirmation. The chart on the right is HA candles and giving me a pretty strong downward (red) candle. Both of these together makes me pretty sure of a safe trade. I will give an update when I get out of this trade - good or bad.

Edit: I only day trade SPY. This is a longer trade, thus I am using daily candles on a 1 month chart to buy and sell.

I am just now getting my feet wet in the options swamp, and have only traded iron condors. So a few questions. 1) How far out (days till expiration) are the options you trade? 2) Do you trade ATM options?
 Thanx
