There are a few but they work until a bear hits at which point you somehow magically have to know you're in a bear trend.

I've found this to be useful....it's very simple....
[price is above MA(200)
volume(30) > 250000
price is between 1 and 20
stocks are nasdaq
close is below close 1 day ago
and close 1 day ago is below close 2 days ago
add column rsi(4)
add column atr(1)
add column ATR(10)
and sort column 7 descending]
