I see all most of the technicals looking good except for the stochs. But the biggest indicator for a possible downturn (or at least a sideways movement) would be the price making new highs while the volume is dropping. That tells me people who wanted to get in already have. Price/volume divergence has direct correlation to investors' psyche...unlike technical indicators that are based on math.

Johnpaulca, why do you use a 40, .4 Bollinger Band? I love the BB...but never see anyone use such an interesting day/deviation combo.

This combo is indeed different. I have learned to trade it for a long time, it keeps me on the right side of the market (most times). It just shows you can trade with almost any indicator even the silly ones and still make money if you know how to trade it. I have massage APPL pretty nicely using this combo.

I would rather say the volume is dropping while sideway movement 52 week high is positive, Because there are no big serious sellers who are trying to take advantge of the strong market. !?

How profound indeed!
I used to make the same stupid mistakes over and over again.
Now, I seem to be making different stupid mistakes.
You can have all the best indicators in the world, but if you don't know HOW to trade 'em ... you're STILL gonna lose money.

I paper traded for five years before using my hard earned cash...a little excessive but it payed off. I practice trading everyday for at least 1 hour. I have tried every conceivable indicator, now I use the K.I.S.S method. I pay special attention to my losing trade and practice stringent money management....nothing complex for this stupid chemical engineer.
