Sugar, copper, oil, etc. How do I find these type of commodity-oriented stocks so I can put them into a watchlist? Thanks.

I guess there is nothing that just says "Commodities." That's what I was hoping to find.

Why dontcha just trade futures. They're designed to eliminate just this type of problem ure facing.

That's an idea. Except I've never traded futures. Could learn. Somewhere, somewhere there's got to exist a "basket" of Commodities. Got to sniff around.

glgene,

Perhaps an ETF? There are many which focus on "Natural Resources".

"Commodity" is a broad term, which itself breaks down into groups (e.g., Energy, Financial, Metals) that, in turn, breaks further into subgroups (e.g., Crude Oil, 10-Yr Treasury, Gold). You need to be more discretionary in ure search.

glgene,

Check out the $CRX.X !

It's a Morgan Stanley Index of Commodity Related Stocks !

I haven't yet been able to find a complete list of ALL the components of that Index...but, it has to be available somewhere !

Here is a partial list of some of the companies included :

Morgan Stanley Commodities Index (CRX.X)

Alcoa Inc. AA
Burlington Resources, Inc. BR
ConAgra Foods, Inc. CAG
Phelps Dodge Corp. PD
Weyerhauser Co. WY

Good Luck !
