I have only subscribed for a few months and I am somewhat computer challenged.

I want to write a scan:

to find stocks that have had at least 3 consecutive lower closes on weekly chart
yet I want it to still be above the 200 EMA

I would like it to have at least 1 million shares traded and be option-able

Can you help with how to word this so that I can also learn how to write a scan

Hi

Fetcher[
weekly close has been increasing over the last 3 weeks
close > EMA (200)
volume > 1000000
optionable
]

Try this

Make that decreasing. Also remember that stock fetchers weekly scans are updated to Monday each week , once a week.

Hi David,

Thank you so much for your help, this is what I am trying to do. I do want what this does but I also want one on a weekly chart and the ones that come up are on a daily chart, such as the one you just shared with me. Am I missing something to see weekly charts from this?

Again, thank you, I have been trying to read the online book they have for this and trying to write this out but it is like a foreign language to me. I am trying to figure it out and your help is greatly appreciated.

Fetcher[
weekly close has been decreasing over the last 3 weeks
close > EMA (200)
volume > 1000000
optionable
and chart-display is weekly
]

I think this is what you want.

See Heypa comments above this is true.

See ya
David

Thank you so much. I have been so frustrated trying to figure this out and that is exactly what I wanted.

I have no idea how but if I can return the favor sometime I would be happy to.

Take care,
Steve

I am not reading any book on this, just a pattern I was shown and find it pretty consistent to work with.

Do you have something on this in a book you are reading or thinking about?
